Michael Rosemann

Dr Michael Rosemann is a Professor for Information Systems and Co-Leader of the Business Process Management (BPM) Group at Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia. His areas of interest are process-based management, process modelling, ontologies and Enterprise Systems (ES). Michael is the Chief Investigator of a number of applied research projects funded by the Australian Research Council and a number of industry partners including SAP. Michael is teaching SAP solutions at universities since 1992 and entertains intensive research collaborations with SAP since many years. On the educational side, he provided advice to a large number of universities about the design of an ES-related curriculum. Michael is the author/editor of five books, more than 130 refereed papers and Editorial Board member of seven international journals. His book ‘Process Management’ has been translated into German, Russian and Chinese. Dr Rosemann chairs the Australian BPM Community of Practice (www.bpm-roundtable.com) and is a member of the ARC College of Experts. He will be the Chair of the 5th International Business Process Management Conference in September 2007 (http://bpm07.fit.qut.edu.au).


Michael has intensive consulting experiences and provided BPM-related advice to organisations from various industries including telecommunications, banking, insurance, utility, logistics and film industry.
