Prof. Hubert Oesterle

Prof. Hubert Oesterle studied business management at the Universities of Innsbruck and Linz (Austria) and holds a doctorate from the University Erlangen-Nuremberg (Germany). After his job as a consultant for IBM Deutschland GmbH he qualified as professor (venia legendi in business administration (Betriebswirtschaftslehre)) at the University of Dortmund (Germany).

In 1980 he was appointed chair of Information Management and IT Coordinator at the University of St. Gallen. In 1989 he founded the Institute of Information Management (IWI-HSG). In 1997 he initiated the post-graduate course "Executive MBA in Business Engineering". His research areas are business models for the information age, business networking, business engineering and independent living.
