Prof. Victor Nikitin
Prof. Victor Nikitin is vice rector and dean of the College of Business Informatics at the State University - Higher School of Economics, Moscow. Nikitin’s interests focus on federal and corporate information systems, state higher education governance, innovation in higher education, and IT higher education standards.
From 1994 through 2002 he worked as an enterprise partner unit manager, enterprise unit manager, and account manager with the Moscow office of Microsoft. Before that, he held several managerial positions with Lotus Corporation.
In 1993, Nikitin became general manager of the Innovative Center of Russia’s Ministry on Architecture and Construction in Moscow, previously having owned his own business in Moscow since the late 1980s.
Nikitin started his career in 1979 as an engineer with the Moscow State Institute of Electronic and Math (Technical University - MIEM) rising to assistant and associate professorships. Nikitin holds a Ph.D. in Cybernetics from the Technical University - MIEM and has attended an MBA course at the European Institute of International Management in Geneva.
