Dr. Norman May

Dr. Norman May is a graduate of the University of Mannheim and University of Waterloo, Canada, where he has studied Business Administration and Computer Science.

He received his doctoral degree from the University of Mannheim in Germany. This research focused on query optimization and query execution for analytical queries and XML queries. He contributed to the Natix XML database developed at the University of Mannheim.

Dr. May joined SAP Research in May 2007. He is member of the German lighthouse project Theseus/TEXO project. In this project he leads the research activities related to (semantic) service discovery and service composition.

His research results were published in international conferences and journals.
